I find this pattern best on fishing shallow beaches for small flats ect where there is no lifting fish as they do bend easily and could lose fish lifting up a river wall.

I have gone over to these from the ordinary b940s for my match rigs.. Fine wire and strong enough for likely catches in matches.. Sharp is an understatement!! Never had one bend out on a fish when reeling it in , but have snapped them when trying to get them out of deep hooked fish!!

These are great and my 'go to' hook choice for match rigs in a sz 4 or 2. The long shank is ideal for worm baits. Only wish they'd bring out a sz 6 version for scratching.

A nice fine wire hook ideal for flatties

I've found these hooks to bend out far too easily, even on flounder. I've also found the occasional brittle batch that have snapped instead of bent. I'd much rather use Mustard Nordic bend hooks if I need a fine wire, which bend more predictably, don't snap and are actually finer and sharper.

These are great sharp, fine wire hooks that I use in sizes 4 to 1/0 on the match rigs for matches I fish at the top end of the Bristol Channel targeting flounder, eels, sole and codling. Only negative would be that they are not available in a size 6 for the 'scratching' rigs.
